French Press

Fully cleaning a French Press may look and seem like a bit more work, but after you do it once or twice it becomes second nature.

  1. Disassemble the french press completely as shown.
  2. Before

  3. Soak all components in a bath of soapy water if you have the glass kind. If it is a plastic press, you will want to soak it in a baking soda bath.
  4. After about ten minutes, grab your cleaning rag and use it to thoroughly clean the equipment.
  5. If you had the glass press, rinse it in a baking soda solution to help make sure all the soap comes away from the parts.
  6. Allow all parts to air dry.
  7. Reassemble.
  8. Anticipate your next brew!
